• The Center for Traditionalist Orthodox Studies is an institution of higher learning, governed by the laws of the State of California concerning private religious degree-granting schools.

• The CTOS offers a two-year program, which confers the Licentiate in Orthodox Theological Studies.

•  The primary goal of the CTOS is to give specific theological and liturgical training to clergy and laity of the Exarchate of the Holy Synod in Resistance in America.

• Candidates for the CTOS program must have a degree from an accredited university or other educational institution of equivalent standing. The program is not a substitute for basic theological or other education, but is aimed at post-graduate specialization.

• The Licentiate is conferred after the submission of a thesis, at the end of the second year of studies, which may be written in English, French, or Greek, under the supervision of one of the program’s directors or examiners. A qualifying examination is required at the end of the first year, before undertaking the thesis year.
