Historical Issues

The articles included in this segment deal primarily with historical events from the inception of the ecumenical movement to the present day.
These events, as a largely practical expression of the heresy, present a picture of ecumenism and, at the same time, as a practical expression of the Orthodox resistance, also present a picture of anti-ecumenism.
• It should not be forgotten that, since 1924, the Orthodox Church has been divided into Old Calendarist anti-ecumenists opposed to innovation (the “healthy part” of the Church) and New Calendarist ecumenists who favor innovation (the “ailing part” of the Church).
Sub-sections:
• The Ecumenical Movement
• Anti-Ecumenism
